With a general expression, payrolling is a process where the personal files of employees are followed up, and wage calculations and legal notifications in relation thereto are made within the framework of legislation and the enterprise’s requirements.

We may list the duties of a payrolling expert as follows in short:

• Create and keep personal files.

• Make calculations of gross and net wage, premiums, overtime pay, deductions, etc. and social security premiums and taxes.

• Serve the staff and have their signatures appended under payroll envelopes.

• Carry out workplace or branch opening transactions and prepare documents required to be sent to public institutions.

• Carry out the beginning and end of employment transactions.

• Prepare statements and documents required to be submitted to the Social Security Institution.

• Follow up on annual leaves and other leaves and keep the annual leave book..

• Prepare documents of the staff or their family, such as statements of employment or payroll envelopes.

• Calculate severance and notice pay if any of the staff left their job, and prepare documents, such as certificate of release, statement of leave of job, etc.

• Inform the accounting department of information which will form a basis for the withholding tax return and accounting voucher.

• Make notices of net wages to be made to banks by which they will be paid.

• Conduct reporting in relation to payrolling transactions.
